My girlfriend and I are flying Club World PHX>LHR>MUC in a few weeks. We have a 2 hour layover in LHR and I am trying to figure out where to go. I assume we will be arriving at T4. Where will we fly out of...and what Lounge should be go to? Thanks all!

Mark

Munich Departs T1, big Club Europe lounge airside but given the time to get between terminals you won't have long there

How long will it take us to get from T4 to T1 and do we just use the BAA buses for that?

Also is there a standard gate that the PHX>LHR flight arrives at?

Id allow a good 20mins to get to T1 from T4 as there can often be a wait for buses.

No, there is no standard gate for the PHX flight. Also, you may have to disembark at a remote stand and be bussed to the terminal if its really busy thereby increasing time further.

All I can add is that you should through check your bags to MUC.

On disembarkation at LHR follow the Flight Connections sign for the transfer bus.

You should not have to clear Customs or Immigration, but doubtless will meet security checks along the way!

MCT at LHR is 75 minutes T4 - T1

Bon Voyages!

Our bags will be checked through to MUC so we won't have to worry about them. Hopefully we don't show up late for our flight!!! I would like to rest in the lounge but that might not be possible.

Since you are arriving at T4, you can take the Tube to T1. What about HEX? Does that go 4-1 also?

We'll take whatever is quicker. Tube might be the best bet it seems.

I was just thinking, even at every 4 minutes (and the Picadilly is more like every 3 at LHR), considering how fast you get from the arrivals area to the tube (maybe 10 minutes walk at the most) and then 5 minutes on the tube to T1-3, the trip should take you no longer than 30 minutes max. Since you should be able to just hand your bags over to the transfer people at LHR, it should be really easy.

If you take the Tube or Heathrow Express you'd have to clear immigration etc so in the end it would take longer than just taking the transfer bus.

At least you did not say "at the end of the day". I have seen immigration go rather fast at LHR, so it might still be faster. Still, either way it is not the most fun transfer

I advise against clearing immigration and going to T1 landside via the tube or HEx. Stick with the Flight Connections Centre and transfer bus.
