4th A/C reportedly is a DC-6 on a "Low approach"

Don't know if that is our emergency bird or not.

But that would be NAC or Everetts.

Yukon 504. That would be NAC.

Doing a low approach now, Reporting wheel well lights on.

Tower just told them to fly the low approach and then sidestep to kilo so he can get a better look at their gear.

Female pilot.....british accent.

The six just did the flyby, all three looked down to me, tower and safety two which is one of the crash trucks. They are in the pattern to bring it home now. Will land it next.

Yukon 504 turning base now, will stop on runway after landing to stick the gear pins in. Apparently they still have that unsafe light.

Yukon 504 is in. The landed 6L and went ahead and pulled off to the Delta taxiway to wait for their MX to get the pins in.

Crash trucks are returning to the barn.

Time of the year for these things to happen. It just finally got cold this last week and those microswitchs have a habit of freezing up this time of year.

glad nothing serious happened and it was a false alarm. How many DC6s are still flying around the world?

Hey L-188 thanks for the info...Was wondering what the deal was with all the fire trucks on my way into work tonight. I noticed they all turned off at Aircraft Drive, while I came in to park at the main employee lot.

Any info on the Air Canada 767 that's parked at North? It's the new colours 767 at that, sure looks nice...

Two rules in aviation, don't hit anything and don't run out of gas, cause if you run out of gas yer gonna hit something.

When did you go to work?

I drove Spenard road and Lake Hood at 7 tonight to go to work and got passed by a couple of rigs screaming out of the Spenard station when I passed it. Having dinner at the Mickey D's on Spenard I did notice the smell of burnt roofing so I figured that somebody had a I didn't notice the AC767 at north. I work at South Airpark so it is a bit hard to see what is parked over there this time of year.

I noticed that there where some fire truck activity down at the FAA hanger gate about 730 but couldnt tell what was up.

Northern Air Cargos issues came later.

Hey

I came in to work about 2045 for a 2100 shift. Saw at least 7 fire trucks and ambulances. Was not the best of things to see on the way to work, going to the airport nonetheless..Glad no one was hurt, but I did enjoy all the lights holding green with the icy roads and all.

Yah the new colours AC 767 is park on the South Side of the North satellite...

It may be on my side of the field, but I still can't see it....it's dark out.

In a couple of months when we get some snow berms built up, I won't be able to see the terminal at all!

That is about the time that NAC was having their hijinks here.

Hey I just did a little checking, your 767 is on the south terminal livecam on the airports website.

I can't see it from where I am working right now. Kallitta has a 747 parked right in the line of sight.

AC 67 in new livery out there? Hmm... Now why is that? More frosting in the paint, perhaps? Curious, indeed.

Now there is a 2nd AC 767 here, old colours obviously...Must be charters of some type...Anyone have any details? Until the 2nd one arrived this morning I sure didn't think there was much change in the colours, but wow the new colours are great! Sure it is similar - but you have to see them side by side and its really quite impressive.....

That must have been AC003 that caused all of the trucks to roll.

That was about the time I was passing the Spenard Fire Station.

Cargo aircraft airport fire/rescue will respond.

A big pax aircraft, they will call mutual aid in from AFD (Anchorage Fire Department)

Now there's a job I wouldn't care for! Wonder if they drew lots...

standing under the wing of an aircraft with suspect undercarriage isn't the safest place in the world...
