Seen on Flytecomm that a Saudi L-1011 came in last night...............can't make it out there today (and it's a real cloudy day).....................keep me informed any MSP people out there!

A little off topic, but yesterday around 4:00pm in MSP a C-5 galaxy came in, and their was no bad weather down at RST. So who knows what its there for.

Def a Mayo thing I am sure. In March there was an Emirates 744, they kept it parked over off cedar ave. where the new Sun Country and Mesaba hangars are now.

Don't these big Middle Eastern jets sometimes land and drop their VIP pax off at RST but then fly over to MSP where there's more room for "long term parking?" That could explain it. Or is it easier for them to just land at MSP and drive the rest of the way?

For what it's worth, it's my understanding that the Saudi royal family thinks particularly highly of the Mayo clinic and frequently has family members (it's a BIG family) there for treatment, diagnosis and checkups.
