UAL 744 In The Paintshop Yet?

I was told awhile back that the first UA 744 was going to receive the new paint scheme in November of this year. Well, it is November now, and I have heard no reports so far that a 744 is currently being repainted. Can anybody tell me when precisely this month we will see the new UA livery on their biggest jet? And what is the registration of the aircraft to receive the n/c's?

It will be going in the last week of November/first week of December.

A second 777 is schedule to go down to AMA this month. Nobody knows if it is getting the new livery or the Star Alliance livery at this point (at least not here).

Thanks, FriendlySkies. Hopefully UA plans to speed up the pace of painting new aircraft...this livery is their best so far, we need to see much more of it on the heavies. A Star Alliance scheme would look cool on the 777 too...definitely a step up from N653UA (UA Star Alliance 767-322ER) Big thumbs up

As much as I love the new livery, I have to disagree with this. UA has MUCH more important matters to deal with than painting planes. I'd rather it take 7 years to paint the fleet and see them for 50 years to come instead of 3 years and see them for less than that...

The second UAL 777 is already in AMA and should be out, I'm guessing this weekend. I saw it on 'flightracker' last weekend and the turn times are about 14 days.
