Does anyone know what the last flight DL Connection flight will be out of DFW in January? All Connection flying for DL will end 100% in DFW and I was wondering what flight that will be. I would hope it would be an ASA (EV) flight being that it is their base. Would love to see a nice salute via a water canon send off!!! Sad to see us leave!

All that will be left at DFW will be 3 DL mainline destinations:

DFW-ATL

DFW-SLC

DFW-CVG

I looked on delta.com and couldn't find anything specific about it.

Although, I did play around with some dates/times destinations, etc and most of the RJ flts towards the end of Jan seem to already be operating by codeshare partners (i.e., CO).

I'm really surprised they did not keep at least one flight to New York, especially LGA seeing that New York is a major focus city for Delta.

Yea, you'd think there'd be enough O&D traffic b/w LGA and DFW to warrant a direct flight. Most of that is eaten up by AA, though, I'm sure.

DL's revitalization plan was really big on being less "asset-heavy" at DFW, so they probably figure you can just make a connection in CVG or ATL.

What type of A/C will DL use for their flights to CVG, SLC, and ATL after the DFW de-hubbing?

AAtakeMeAway - If you go on delta.com, click on "flight schedules" in the middle of the page and enter in DFW-CVG, DFW-SLC and DFW-ATL for any date after January 31 you'll see what aircraft Delta will be operating.

Well, the latest departures in the last bank (for DL) at DFW are around 2130. The last day of operation for the DFW hub appears to be January 30. There are two departures for ATL on CRJ's in that last bank on 1/30; the last one (and it only seems to operate that day) is DL 4161 (operated by ASA) departing at 2140 (there's also one which leaves at 2120). There's a 2115 departure on ASA to BPT (which makes sense since they'll need that aircraft in BPT for BPT-ATL). There's a 2115 departure to ELP on SkyWest (which will undoubtedly go to SLC the next morning), a 2120 departure to CVG on ASA(!), the normal 2105 departure to SLC on SkyWest, the normal 2120 departure on ASA to SHV, a 2120 departure on SkyWest to TUL, and a 2130 departure on SkyWest to ICT. The last non-hub mainline departure looks like DL 1161 to LAX. It seems that Chautauqua is out of the hub beforehand, but ASA, Comair, and SkyWest will all be operating at DFW on the last day.
