Hey Guys,

Today while driving north on Dixie road I noticed a plane taking off. I looked and looked but couldn't figure out which airline it belonged to.

The fuselage was all white. It seemed to have a dark navy blue cheatline from about middle to rear with a lighter, baby blue cheatline just above that. It had 2 engines, and looked to be bigger than an A321. I couldn't see what was on the tail. Anyone know?

Mark

pff, Probably was a Jazz Dash 8.

A plane is a plane, or you can check flytecomm or something.

Nuno,

It wasn't Air 2000 / Skyservice.

Kaz,

Yup! I think that's the one. I couldn't make out the e on the tail. Is that a "tradewinds" knockoff? Are they new, or whats the deal?

BO_eing,

Thanks for your shitty ass reply.

Express.net is a charter cargo carrier. They've been around for a little while. I used to see their A300 at MKE leaving early in the mornings a couple years ago.

Gee, what a constructive post Bo_einG! Why don't you go back to boasting about how great YYC is and keep your lame comments to yourself EH?

Mark was asking a simple question and he got a simple answer.

Now I'll ask what is the deal with the Express.net A300 that is always here? Where does it go and what contract is it working? I've always wanted to shoot that one but it seems it never moves during the day, which would contradict what Mark saw so I guess I'm just never around at the right time of day. What time did you see it go 'Rates?

Cheers boys!

Jeremy

The Express.net A300 is operating from Dayton, Ohio feeding the UPS hub. Sometimes we get aircraft other than the A300 operating this flight, such as on occasion DC-8's. If I'm not mistaken, it was ICC Cargo and their A300's that were operating these flights in the past.

Jeremy,

I saw it around 800 - 815 am on Wednesday morning on my way to the DriveTest off of Steeles.

Thanks for the replies.

KDAY a UPS hub...?
If its flying to DAY then its a Emery flight. We have had that Aircraft here in YYC flying the DAY-MCI-YYC-SEA run several times.
However it is true that UPS has purchased Emery, so their is some truth to your statement.

Aaaahhh, and before the ICC I think I remember we used to see Emery DC-8's on that route. Actually I remember seeing Emery for a short while here AFTER ICC had left, remember seeing a DC-10F in full Emery colours parked up at Vista Cargo while onboard one of the VS YYZ flights, so that was summer 2001. Side note, there is no way in hell I'll be up at 8am to go spotting, that just isn't me! Thanks for the info guys!

I remember an Emory DC-8 on approach to 24L, the south one if I remember correctly in Spring 98'. Like the other guy, I also will not be up at 8am to spot, 2pm is more like it.
