Do they still serve them on ANY of their flights? If yes, which ones? Mcdonald's I mean.

I miss them a lot. I used to like them a lot when I was a kid.

Hey

the last I heard of them doing it was in 1998, my friend used to fly a lot from JFK-LAX and said that it was on a 744. He also said that he got happy meals on the flights. He was always upset becuase the toy was a UA 744(one of the short and stubby plastic ones)

He has not menthchoined recently about the, having the Happy Meals.

He also said that he only got in First Class not in Coach.

Happy Meals in first class? LOL. No wonder airlines are doing away with things like meals.  Wink/being sarcastic

They were discontinued a couple of years ago; 1998 sounds about right. These meals was actually designed for kids  Smile

On my recent flight betn ORD-PHX on Ted, they basically ran out of the boxed meals by the time they got to the last 3 rows. So that kinda sucked. But I guess they do have to hedge how many meals they load based on expected demand models. And if the actual demand exceeds expected demands, you are SOL. I have, however, once had a salad on these same flights. It wasnt bad and the prices are reasonable (around $5 or $6). I think the salads and sandwiches are provided by Panera (I am not totally sure about that).

Oh yes it is a B 747-400 in white colour with a button on the top for you to press. When you press it and release it, the plane goes forward.

The last happy meal I had on UA was sometime in 1998 from LAX-ORD-LAX. Those were also on the DC-10 and one of the last 747 in the old UA colors. That was probably the most memorable flight of my life. But anyways I always used to be mad cause the Happy Meal never filled me up.

i think ua discontinued Happy Meal around 00-01. Maybe right after 9/11. I know it was with the discontinuation with other special meals that we used to offer. Believe, we had so many special meal choices, but they streamlined it now and of course, due to cost cutting. There was a special SSR code for the Happy Meal I believe, not just CHML. I might be wrong though. Should have collected those UA toys...
