A 13-year-old stowaway who clung to an airplane's landing gear was killed when he fell during takeoff, while his 14-year-old companion was hospitalized after he survived the hour-long flight.

This occurred on a Sichuan Airlines Airbus A320 from Kunming to Chongqing.

The survivor is said to be ok in hospital but is close to losing his hearing from the engine noise endured over the hour long flight.
