"By the late fifties "Cubana" owned a modern flying fleet . It was the first Latin American airline to order two Boeing 707s.The jet liners never were delivered. Besides, in those days of complex route regulations, "Cubana" was growing so fast that two US airlines, out of business today, did all what they could to prevent the approval of Cuban flights between Havana and Los Angeles"

I know they've had A320s recently, and DC-10's from AOM, but the 332's are a new one to me... perhaps another lease for trans-Atlantic services to LGW/FRA/MAD/CDG?

Hardi,
I can confirm that Cubana flies into YUL. They serve Havana regularly as well as seasonal resort destinations. They've been flying to YMQ for years, both to YMX and YUL, depending on the airport vocation of the time.

Anything missing??
I actually knew that CU was flying still to SCL, but their website tells the opposite, Can anyone confirm that CU quited SCL? how long ago? I'n sure I've seen some tourist programs with CU flights, although the competition of LA, TA and CM is strong for Cuba-Chile market, and LA hasd excellent service, non stop with PTVs and widebodies weekly. It was actually a pleasure for me to land in HAV in march onboard LAN, after great 8 hours. My best flight ever!, no doubt!

hey
The last I heard Cubana had ordered two of there own A330-200s for delivery in late 2005 to replace the leased A330 from Novair. Boy do I enjoy seeing that plane in MAD....
But also I remember them saying that they where also looking into ordering A320s to replace the older F-27s and some of there russians.
All this came from Just Planes about two months ago.
