Hi all
I just wanted to know if anybody knows whats going on at KX. Have they restored service to all of their destiniations? If not, when? When will they be recieving their next 737-300? I know that it was delayed because of hurricane Charlie, but did it eventually come? Any other comments of bits of info welcome.
And how is AJ? Has anyone heard about the 2 A319's and service to Vancouver lately? How have they coped with all of the mess, courteousy of Ivan? Same questions basically.

Hi:
I haven't heard anything about KX lately. But this morning I read on the Caribbean Aviation website (http://www.caribbeanaviation.com) that JM was returning one of their three A340s and cancelling service from Manchester to Jamaica and between LHR-HAV. LHR to Jamaica flights will be limited to one daily. This was being done because they are in debt (so what else is new, eh?) and are trying to cut costs. I suppose the likelihood of purchasing additional equipment for new service is slim to nil.

Yeah, I am surprised that Butch (actually I should call him Poppa Butch) didn't get the government to cover the debt. That's usually what happens, for an increased stake in the airline of course. And I was surprised they decided to axe Manchester. I thought the MAN flights were high-yield. I guess not.

I'd be interested in knowing the status of the Cayman flights to/from BOS. As I recall, flights were due to begin last week, but no signage has been put out on roadways or terminals, nor have I seen anything on the arrivals/departures boards. However, Cayman Airways still shows Boston on their website. As much as I'd like to see another Caribbean carrier in Boston, I wouldn't be shocked if the route were postpoined a year due to Hurricane Ivan damages. What's the status on this flight?
