777 Sales So Far..........

Seeing that AF will get the 500th 777 in December, one has to think Boeing is making money on this program. Am I wrong? Thanks for your comments!

That'd be a safe assumption.... the 777 development wasn't cheap and was probably around 10-12 billion USD, although Boeing didn't disclose the exact amount. I'd say they broke-even around frame #250-350, but that's just guess work on my part.

Seeing that Boeing went and reinvested another 1 billion in the 773ER/772LR, I would assume they had secured a profit from the inital variants by 2000-ish.
