Today was probably one of the best days for airplane watching at JFK, at least in my opinion. I got to see one of Sun Country's 737-800 come in for a landing. about 15 minutes later, a Virgin A346 came in followed by CX's A346.
It was a treat to see two A346's back to back from two different airlines. This was unexpected since I have typically seen Virgin's A346 arrive later on in the evening and usually it's a 744 that comes in first. Either way, it was an awesome sight to see them both come in within minutes of each other. Too bad the day was kind of ugly! Anyone know why Sun Country's 737-800 was at JFK today? Charter flight?

Sun Country currently flies 9 weekly flights from JFK to MSP. It's wasn't a charter, it's a scheduled flight. If your spottnig today (Friday), there will be 2 flights, one in the morning and one a night. Look for the same every Monday and Friday.
Jfklganyc,
I think you mean SY.

Current sked for the VS A340-600 on the day flight (1210pm arrival) is 2x a week, Wed and Thu. The night flight (850pm arrival) is daily A346.
CX's A340-600 nonstop is daily and their direct (YVR) is also daily but mix of A343 and A346.
SY as mentioned above is daily with 2 arrivals on Mon and Fri.
