We all knew that their business model was garbage. I give them until March before they become a thing of the past.

Nice Trip Report!!! Great Pics, thanks for posting!!!! B747Forever

First they announced they were leaving LAN. Now DAY? They also announced that they are selling 4 of their owned CRJ's. Things aren't looking too good.

Well if they announced they were leaving LAN, Congrats NW you win again  Big thumbs up. Second, I give them till end of Feb before they are gone.

I think the selling of the 4 rjs has something to do with them dropping LAN and DAY.

Hmm, sounds like before long Indy Air will be leaving everywhere...

Good idea, really bad execution, and even worse timing...they were doomed to fail, I just feel for the employees. I mean, it's not hopeless yet, but getting closer and closer...

How ironic is this?....one of my buddies that flies for MESA says that if FLYi goes, they're looking at buying their CRJ's!!!!! I give them 'til the summer before those birds are painted back on UA's colors flying for MESA!

Flying is a privilege!

Friendlyskies,

That CRJ in the new United colors is not ACA/Indy's. I dont believe ACA ever had any in the new colors as they were planning on leaving UA when the new scheme came out.

Not everything you try is a success. I deffinitly feel for Iair / ACA folks that they decided they don't want to be a part of the UAL titanic and decided to start something on their own.

Atcrick-

I think the point was that it would become a CRJ in the new United Express colors once Mesa bought up chunks of a liquidated FlyI. Note that that particular CRJ is operated by Mesa...

ScottB,

I didnt get that impression as the caption at the top was, "The life of a DH CRJ-200". But, ok, I see your understanding as well.

Good work ScottB...I did that on purpose.  Big grin

Atcrick, I put the ? in the top caption as a "what if?" sort of deal.

Friendlyskies,

Ok, I can see it as if Fly-I goes under and Mesa picks up some of their RJ's, but not in the sense as if Mesa would have suceeded in the takeover attempt of ACA. ACA wanted no part of that deal!.

Rick

I know, I was following up on the post before mine regarding Mesa buying scraps of FLYi. In all honesty, I don't want either of them as UAX, I'd rather have AWAC stay...but it's all about the bottom line in this business sadly... Sad

I wish Indy Air all the best. I just love their personable service at BUF! I've flown BUF-IAD what, 4 times in the past month, and at check-in the lady always recognizes me when I walk up. At IAD I missed a flight and they didn't even charge me for taking the next one, great! I have taken WN BWI-BUF once, and no thank you! I guess I'd better get used to United, well at least I'll get miles worth something.
