Need Help Locating Ex-QF 707 VH-EBJ

Hi folks...
I'm asking for any & all help finding the status of an ex-Qantas 707-138, with the former registration VH-EBJ. The last updated info I can find on the aircraft, that it has been abandoned in Cairo since the late '80s, with the registration SU-FAA. The reason being is because this particular aircraft is the only commercial plane delivered on my birthday in 1961. So I consider it my "birthplane". The aircraft was known as the "City of Longreach", serial #18069 & line #228. Any & all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks & regards.

It has indeed not been seen since the late 1980s. As complete reports exists of the (other) aircraft derelict at Cairo made by observers every other year or so, you can safely assume it's be scrapped around 1988 or 1989. source http://www.airlinerlist.com

Thanks for your reply, MEA-707. I was expecting the worst for that airplane. Just thought I'd take a chance on someone telling me she's in a field somewhere in Cairo waiting for rescue. Such a sad ending for my "birthplane". Regards.
