None of the aircraft belong to UA anyl onger.
They were all lease rejections as part of the carriers Ch11 filing. Bristol Associates has been re-marketing these aircraft well over one year now.

Wouldnt UAL need at least 1-2 B 744s for their future expansion to China and Asia in 2005-06?
These B 744s of UAL up for sale/lease are not bad investments to look into for an airline especially the 93-94 models!!!
Sean, would there be even the slightest-remotest chance that Air India might just pick up 1-3 B 744s from there like they have of 3 B 772ERs of UALs???
TG was interested in the UAL B 744s but obviously that deal didnt work out.

Globalplanesearch.com shows lot of 777/747-400s available. I thought the number of used 747-400s available was limited. There is only 1 MD-11 listed on that site.

Didn't somebody in another thread talk about AC getting used Aircraft from UA? If AC is getting six ac's, then it could come from here. And somebody said, it was a done deal.......... Hmm..........

The numbers available, mentioned on the website above, are indeed impressive, a quick check on 747-400 reveals though that some are offered twice or even by three different sources (like the two ex-MAS Combis, which are parked for two years now). So there are not 44 different 744s for sale or lease currently, but just about half of that, or even less.

Geg2rap,
Farve I believe was the one who said NWA was getting second hand 744's from UAL, and I believe that he said 3 were coming on board for NWA. Hope this helps.

Geg2rap, you are right...someone on Airliners.Net did around 2-3 weeks ago make a post here saying that on his recent NWA flight he spoke to their flight attendant who said that 2 ex UAL B 744s are probably joining the NWA fleet. I read that post myself as well.
Air Canada are only on the look out for used A 343s and B 763ERs and not B 744s nor A 333s.
On this globalplane search website, there seems to be 2 A 343s available plus 5-7 A 332s as well and surprisingly quite a few B 744 Combis!!! If this is the case then Im surprised why Etihad has not picked up the A 343s nor A 332s that are available as theyre on the look out for more planes for rapid expansion.

No, I don´t. I´ve just seen that all-white A332 parked on LH territory a few days ago when I was visiting the A340 hangar. Not even the guys there couldn´t tell anything about that aircraft.
