I'm trying to know if Gulf Air is considering to expand its newtork despite they have codeshare agreement with BMI. Any new destination is eyed by Hogan's team ?

Behramjee,
Rumors were them to relaunch GVA as the stopover for their flights to the US. Does this remain the first option considered by the executives ?

Well I guess GF was just too close to bankrupcy to consider the relaunch of that flight. THe fact is that the split within the UAE has put GF aside. Now Etihad is taking the lead and is eyeing on JNB...

Gulf Air-KLM accord to hit Pakistan
Pakistan’s aviation industry faces another jolt as Gulf Air and Royal Dutch KLM enter into an agreement of code-sharing.
According to the contract, Gulf Air will carry passengers from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Muscat to Abu Dhabi for KLM. In this way, KLM that was out of the Pakistani market, has re-entered it, which is not suitable for Pakistan’s aviation industry.
Gulf Air is also in negotiations with Lufthansa Airline for the same contract, informed sources said. It may be mentioned here that Pakistan’s aviation industry is already facing hardships due to the carrying of ‘sixth freedom’ passengers by Emirates, Cathay, Gulf, Singapore and other airlines.
The carriage of sixth freedom passengers by these airlines also shrinks the market for quality airlines of the world and they have been closing down their operations from Pakistan. The Karachi airport has virtually become a regional airport where flights of only the Middle East and South Asia land.
