I have flown Iberia before, there service is better on there domestic flights then there international, just my opioin
Wow, that doesn't bode particularly well for IB international! I've flown four IB domestic business sectors this month and the service was minimal and that is being generous. Beyond the first meal/snack service it was a case of venturing beyond the galley curtain to get anything!

They look great. That's for sure. But one pic [the left one] is more than one year old, so can see "something" different between the A340 and the B747 [that looks for me quite similar to CO].
I just will add a more "sophisticated" material for the headrest, not these made from a cheap material.
By the way, why the registration number of the B747 does not begin with "EC"?
Thanks,

Those pics belong to the current Business class...there aren't any pics online showing the new seats at the moment.
The difference between those seats shown on the A340 and the ones on the 747 is because those on the 747 are not IB's seats. That 747 (TF-ARS) is not even on IB colours. It was leased from Air Atlanta and I'm not sure if it's still around.
The rest of the long haul fleet is equipped with the same seat design as in the A340 pic, excepting EC-IZX, EC-IZY and EC-JBA. The rest of the A340 fleet will recieve the new seats within the next year. No 747 will be retrofitted with these new seats.

These are the old business class seats. The new seat will begin to be used in the second semester of 2005. I have seen some pictures but have no way to post them. The new 340-600 have them fitted already. By the way IB has just received EC-JBA the latest 340 with the name of Joaquin Rodrigo. That brings the total of A340 to 24.
These are my principles but if you don't like them I have others

Wet leased?
Yes. The aircraft are painted in full IB colours, have (old) IB seats and the cabin crew are IB, but the pilots (on the -400s, thanks for clarifying IB747) and registrations are Icelandic.

TF-ARS left some time ago, as did TF-ATH, which joined Air Pullmantur after its "disagreement" with an airbridge(!). How much longer do the -200s, -300s and -400s have in IB's fleet? EC-JBA is the 6th A340-600 for IB, isn't it? And just out of curiosity, would I be right in thinking that the 2 B747-300s are "cash cows" for IB as they are equipped with 472 seats?

Hola Bullpitt:
My source is JP, according to whom the -300s are configured C61Y411. Your maths sounds believable, but having flown on TF-ATI earlier this month, I have never seen so many seats in a 747, and given that Corsair are able to bunch in a further 100, I think it's possible IB's have 472. Either way, I didn't count them myself. What's your source?

The colours of the setas are a little dull and the whole interior lacks a little bit of cheerful design...
The seats might be confortable but personally I don't think it's a great interior !

The pictures dont do it justice. When I downloaded the pics I was like it didnt come out good. The lighting with the flash messed it up. In person it looks a lot nicer...although the cabin does look a little cold. I liked the previous business class colors and the fact that the walls were a light blue with paintings on them.
I guess I could scan and post them, although since I am not the original photographer of those photos...I dont know if I should? What do you think?

It looks like there are no PTVs, unless they fold up from the arm rest. That's not good enough for first class and the 21st century. The colour of the seays make it look a little dull as well.
