Apparantly an AC a/c (dont know what, cant see it from this side of the office) has had an emergency and blew the slides. Any info? Type of emerge? a/c? Saw tonnes of fire trucks and amulances going over to north end.

TSGuy, what else can you say about this? What runway? Is there still anything there? I'm tempted to go for a drive to see what's going on.

Me? Jetsgo? Nah, I tried, but I wasn't good enough.  Big grin To be honest, I was looking for jobs in the industry, and was being somewhat picky. I tried Jetsgo, among others, but my first good opportunity came from Skyservice, and I don't have any regrets.

BWIA330 is talking to TransatGuy, who if memory serves me correctly, helped him out on a TS flight.

I'm still amazed there isn't any news regarding this from any source. Perhaps it wasn't as serious as TransatGuy was led to believe? I certainly hope everything worked out fine, whatever happened.

Hey..

I popped out to YYZ tonite, and there was a Jetsgo Fokker parked on the FedEx ramp. I coudln't find anything else anywhere that would have been out of the ordinary.

I DID find it odd that the F100 was parked where it was? Seemed Odd since their hangar was empty.

Thanks guys!

On taxi out on a flight to Cuba, the crew reported cockpit smoke. They evacuated the aircraft.

Hey,

Cpt Underpants is right,

I went to work last night and talking to my fellow PSA's I found out one of my friends was doing that departure. It was the flight going out to Varadero and it was the Md-80. Smoke was reported and thats when they evacuated the aircraft. I heard that the flight attendants over reacted. The passengers were switched onto another Md-80.

Regards,

BWIA330

Wow.. I wonder where they put the plane?

as I said, there was a Fokker on the FDX ramp, but their maintenance hangar was completely empty, and there were no planes sitting around either.

wow..

COol!

PS, i'm glad everyone is safe!

My source tells me that they did not use the slides, but evacuated the pax using the rear stairs. It was strictly a precautionary measure due to an unexplained odour in the cabin.
