I just heard that there was a CX A340-600 diverted to YYZ enroute to New York on Nov. 28 at approx. 1330 EST. Does anyone know what caused the diversion?
There seems to be a more than usual number of CX diversions/emergency landings in North America recently: emergency landing at LAX early Nov., diversion to YYZ in Oct., etc. CX has a remarkable safety record and is a very technically strong airline. Is there something going on with their technical operations recently or is it just pure coincident?

How about bad weather delays in the NYC area? And since the JFK bound -600 flys directly over YYZ and the fact that YZ is a online station makes it a pretty good alternate! BTW in case anyone is interested, the aircraft in question was "QC"
