Seattle's King 5's Evening Magazine features boot camp of the sky

What does it take to become an Alaska Airlines flight attendant? Find out tonight when Evening Magazine follows 40 students through five weeks of initial flight attendant training.

To produce the popular television show, a film crew from KING TV in Seattle shadowed the trainees as they learned how to open aircraft doors in an emergency, use an evacuation slide, handle a water landing and more. The two-part show also includes interviews with the trainees and scenes from the graduation ceremony where they receive their wings.

In Seattle, Evening Magazine airs at 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. on Channel 5 (11/30). Portland-area viewers Evening Magazine features can watch the show on at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow on Channel 8 (12/01).
