JOHANNESBURG, November 30, 2004 - South African Airways (SAA) has resumed its service to Abidjan, three weeks after the airline suspended its flights to Côte d'Ivoire’s capital because of political disturbances in the country.
The airline will resume the service this week with flights between Johannesburg, Accra, Ghana and Abidjan on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
“We are committed to keeping a reliable service into the continent. We regret any inconvenience the suspension flights may have caused. The safety of our customers is uppermost in our minds as we fly them across the world,” said Onkgopotse JJ Tabane, SAA Vice President, Communications and Government Liaison.
The schedule is as follows:
From Johannesburg, via Accra, to Abidjan: Departs at 13H10 arrives at 19H30.
From Abidjan, via Accra, to Johannesburg: Departs at 20H30 and arrives at 06H35.
