G-OOBL 767-324ER (VN-A764) ex Vietnam Airlines is due Jan 05

G-OOAL 767-38AER will return to lessor March 05

So FCA will at the most have 3 767's operating until winter 05 when the third ex Vietnam Airlines arrives
Hope this answers your question

If anything I'd expect to see First Choice adding 767s over the next couple of years. Of the UK holiday companies they are the ones who've adapted the best to changing travel trends, actually achieving close to 5% returns on package holidays (Making them amrket leaders) and are placing an increased focus on longhaul holidays. Complete turn around from the basket case the company was a few years back (In comparison to Airtours, now MyTravel, who were market leaders at that time and who are now the basket case). First Choice have also been operating scheduled flights, like Monarch, for several years now within Europe, and both are doing well here.

I have worked with First Choice for a while, and after doing so, learnt that they are in fact, not the so called 'market leader' you say they are FlyCaledonian!
One of the things that came to my knowledge; the new B767s are not ready to support all the services that First Choice have been selling them on. I have also learnt that they have very poor after sales service and even go so far as to laugh at their customers in some cases!
It will also be of major interest that MyTravel Group should have now owned First Choice if it weren't for fowl play on FC’s behalf, which consequently lead major losses from MyTravel! MyTravel have an EU court case against First Choice pending which will be of a great financial gain to MYT.
First Choice aren't all they are cracked up to be!

ThomasCook, I was going by what the UK financial press were saying, regarding First Choice as being a well managed company performing well given the current woes of the travel industry. And it's maybe just as well MyTravel, or Airtours as it was then, didn't acquire First Choice as both companies probably wouldn't exist now. As I recall First Choice was proposing a merger with Kuoni, which Airtours, then on an acquisition spree, wanted to prevent by acquiring First Choice. As then Market leader the EU considered the enlarged Airtours group would have been too dominant. As for foul play by First Choice, what exactly are you refering too?
It's a bit on the speculative side to say the EU court case will be of "great financial gain" to MyTravel as the case hasn't even begun, let alone a verdict delivered. As for saying they "laugh at their customers" where's your proof? Seem very bitter against the company for some reason. I've seen some weird stuff on here before but its not often I've read a post and considered it could be libelous!

FCA rock, they are the best charter by far and i've flown them all (well almost ).
Don't the 767's look odd with the different door positions in FCA colours, looks like a different plane.
My am I glad that G-OOAN will go for a service, or any of their 767'. They seriouslyfall behind the rest of the fleet. I was on one on an hour and a half and stuck on the ground in it for 2 hours. I was 13 back there, so quite a bit smaller an the comfort was agonising. Now their A32X's and B757's are a whole different story
Despite the name I am a Boeing man through and through!

And I suppose nothing like that has ever happened in a Thomas Cook shop
First Choice are not responsible for the financial mess MyTravel got themselves into. You can't deny that First Choice are a successful company and it can only be a good thing that they are trying to offer something different in the market. The upgraded 767's are not due to begin full service until the summer season so they have a few months left to get them 'ready'.

Some very strong words said against First Choice Thomascook. It sounds like you have a bit of a grudge against FC!
I actually work for First Choice Airways, and have to say that they are the best at what they do ( and I am really not just saying that because I work for them!)
I am lead to believe that 2 of the new 767's are already being fitted out, and will enter into service in Jan'05, also don't forget that FCA's busy period does not really start until end of May start of June'05, thus giving them plenty of time to get things ready.
As for MyTravel loosing money because of FC - utter rubbish! If MYT had kept their "Accounting procedures" in order, then they wouldn't be struggling each day to keep their heads above water. MYT are also following in FCA's footsteps in reducing crew numbers and having only part year bases - all of which FCA did years ago!
