NW Charter Flight STL-CUN On December 22nd: Help

Hi there. My family is booked for an NW charter flight STL-CUN (Cancun)nonstop on Wednesday, December 22nd of next week. I am curious as to what type of aircraft will be performing the flight. Anybody who can confirm the type of aircraft being used for the flight has my thanks.

Do you have seat assignment numbers? It could be on our charter 747, but probably it'll be an A319/320.

Who is the charter operator of this trip? They could tell you the aircraft.It has to be a tour operator as the airlines do sell charters. If it is MLT or World Vacations(owned by Northwest) the the trip could very well be on Champion Air.

My money is on a Champion Air 727, they do a fair amount of charter work to CUN from STL.

Bobnwa, it is World Vacations, I just remembered. I really hope it is a Boeing 727, not some stupid RJ. It would be my first Boeing 727 in almost ten years...and the first time I would be flying a Boeing 727 for another airline besides TWA. Guess my chances of flying my first Airbus, Boeing 757, or Boeing 747 are out of the question  Sad

Well, I just checked the NW website, I'm confused. The only flights NW talks about that are going to Cancun are not nonstop. They are STL-IAH-CUN, and STL-MEM-CUN. But mine is nonstop from what my parents tell me  Confused

You are most likely booked through MLT/WorryFree vacations and it is on a Champion Air 727 if you go to http://www.worryfreevacations.com you can see the schedule that is offered. MLT/WorryFree Vacations are owned by NW Airlines

If it's MLT, it may be an Omni Air Intl 757, or DC10.

It is most likely operated by Champion Air/727 as by looking at the website for WorryFree vacations that is who is flying that day. Or the most logical choice is to just call the agent they made the reservations through and ask. I think that would be the quickest and best solution to actually find out.

Thrust, you'll be on a Champion Air 727. They are the only ones running the CUN/MMUN charters right now out of STL. Usually flight # is CCP330 down; 331 on the return.


In the Alaska bush I'd rather have a two hour bladder and three hours of gas than vice versa.

I never thought I would be flying a Boeing 727 again after all the major U.S. passenger carriers retired them from their fleets. I will look forward to riding this vanishing trijet, watching that awesome wing do its work. Thanks a bunch to all participants for helping me find out my aircraft type for this charter.
