I have a question: Why hasn't Start Alliance tried to recruit Dragonair (KA) of Hong Kong to join? They are a great airline and I think would be a valuable addition to Star with their China flights, other regional Asia service, potential expansion of their services to say ANZ, and large base of consumers with disposable income. Something like 30 to 40% of world's population lives within a 4-5 hour flight of Hong Kong, makes sense, no? CX is OneWorld, why not have Star in Hong Kong?

CX and KA have been at each other's throats these past years, but CX hasn't relatively landed with too many China rights.
Personally, I would rather see KA or MU join oneworld and have CA join Star.

Either one is fine with me, I like CX as well. I think that they get to begin Shanghai flights in October 2005 and will increase frequency to Beijing this week.
They are also going to code-share with MU. Thinking about it, SQ may not be crazy about having CX in Star! Whereas, KA and SQ could complement and feed each other more.
