AFA Reaches Tentative Agreement With US Airways
Pact Would Boost Health of Carrier
WASHINGTON, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Negotiating Committee representing
US Airways flight attendants, members of the Association of Flight Attendants-
CWA, today reached a tentative agreement with management aimed at helping to
restore the financial health of the nation's sixth-largest carrier.
Details of the agreement are not being released at present, pending review
by the union's Master Executive Council and a ratification process by the
membership.
More than 46,000 flight attendants, including 5,200 at US Airways, join
together to form AFA, the world's largest flight attendant union. AFA is part
of the 700,000 member strong Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO. Visit

First, this is GREAT, I mean OUTSTANDING news for US Airways. Two union groups voting to strike, two union groups reaching agreements as far as contracts (CAW, AFA). This airline might make it after all. Just, if I'm not mistaken, the IAM to go, correct?
