For the second week in a row, CLE is expecting a major snowstorm to come through on Sunday the 19th. CLE is expecting up to a foot of snow between Saturday night and Sunday night.
So if you're traveling to CLE, and, more importantly, if your connecting on CO thru CLE, better call the airline and check on your flights and look for a possible reroute via EWR or IAH.

Glad I'm not working any flights into/out of CLE tomorrow.. my pilot friend at CoEx says it's going to be fugly.. the forecast calls for north winds gusting up to 24 and the lake's not frozen over yet.. prime for the lake-effect machine!
Maintain 2300 until Boiler, cleared for the VOR-A approach, report BATLE inbound..

USAirways16bwi, expect snow showers on and off during the day.
Well, it was 40 when I went to bed, and it's down to 14 degrees now, with a brisk wind. It's currenty snowing pretty steadily at the airport, so I'm glad I'm not 1. at work at the airport, or 2. dumb enough to be going to the Browns-Chargers game today (for a lot of reasons).

Ha! I called it last night. What'd we get, 2 inches? Foot my arse. Given that we didn't get half of what they called for and that the snow removal guys at CLE are awesome at what they do, I wouldn't be too worried about delays except for a few ground stops here 'n there.

Well, someone might get hosed but CLE only has 4 inches according to NOAA. Where I live we have about 3. That having been said, the windchill is -26 lol.

Okay I take that back, we've had an inbound groundstop for what... 4 hours now? We only have about 4-5 inches of snow but it has yet to stop (dunno where it's coming from I can see the sun through the snow so there can't be many clouds) and the temp is killing us.

MasseyBrown, Hopkins doesn't even admit to having delays, even if the snow is coming down in droves! Last monday, I didn't work, but I found out on Tuesday there were tons of delays, but on the news Monday night, you couldn't have figured that out, because the brass at Hopkins said there had been nary a delay all day.

Well, here we go again!
If you're traveling in Ohio-CVG, CMH, CLE, TOL, CAK on Wednesday the 22nd, it could be more fun for you. The NWS has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Wednesday and Wednesday night. 1 to 3 inches of snow for the day wednesday, and then wednesday afternoon till thursday morning, another 6 to 10 inches is possible. Also sleet and freezing rain is possible.
This is NOT what I wanted for the Christmas travel week.

Thank you for keeping that mess South of the Detroit metro area....they were predicting 3-6" earlier in the week for Detroit....now its down to 1-2"...that means we'll probably get 5-10.
I have an uncle who lives East of the Cleveland area (Chardon)....they got 19 inches the other day. Ugh.
Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool.....

Interesting thing with this alleged storm upcoming, Bob, is that the west side, right now, is expecting more than the east side. Apparently, the east side will be on the warmer side of this system, at least to start with, and they could get snow changing to freezing rain. Out here about 30 miles west of CLE, we'll probably get all snow.
Well, the kids will be happy for Christmas at least, although Wednesday and Thursday could be fun working at Hopkins.

NOAA says 8-16 inches of additional snow possible for Weds through Thurs. Also, temps are gunna fall. Man going from 4 degrees yesterday to 41 today is tropical!
