I've heard a rumor that EK (I don't know if it has been made official) will launch a second daily service from Dubai to Paris CDG.
AF CEO got angry with this announcement and AF said that they will also launch, in a near future, a second daily flight from Paris CDG to Dubai.
I know that DXB-CDG is one of the most profitable route for EK (and maybe for AF too). There is really a lack of capacity and flights between France and Emirates.

Well I fly Dubai-Paris (AF) quite frequently and the premium cabins, while sometimes full, are not always packed. Sometimes the premium cabin can be quite empty. I know this isn't necessarily indicative of the how the flight is doing for AF, but it's merely an observation.

Yes first EK will fly 12 times a week to CDG in 2005 and from 2006 onwards it will become double daily.
Dont know what AFs intentions are with the DXB route as I dont recall them ever saying anything about it. Nevertheless 2 daily A 332s / A 343s for AF to DXB might be a bit too much over capacity if u ask me. They should rather upgrade DXB from the A 343 to the B 772ER than fly double daily.

I thing getting angry about EK's massive expansion to Europe is becoming a more and more popular behaviour with European airlines CEO's. EK is very succesful and steels the European carriers a lot of traffic.
