I was very surprised to see DL, operating a CRJ, on both legs of this journey. But......I Guess that is what it is coming down to these days, for all airlines, not just DL. And it does beat not having the route at all.
On the topic, What would be the longest RJ, flight? Sorry if it has been discussed before.

I might take this routing if it was a ERJ, no way would I take a dreaded CRJ this distance.

Floris, There is no "Problem", as you make it out. I was just surprised at the routes. And, on the topic would like to know, what is DL's longest RJ/CRJ, route?

AA767400,
I would say the longest DL CRJ route would be ASA flt 4606 DFW-OAK. It is a distance of 1457 miles and a scheduled flight time of 3hrs 57 min. Of course, that is about to be gone now that DFW is being de-hubbed. Personally, I think it is a travesty that an RJ will be put on a flight over longer than 1.5 hrs. Comair did have a CVG-BIL flight earlier this year, but it appears it has been dropped. It fell into the range of about 1301 miles. One good thing about the de-hubbing of DFW is that we will see less longhaul flying like this on an RJ and they will be more focused on smaller routes.
