Will FL ever start this service? I know it was chatted about a few months back, you think they would with the Delta transformation coming up in January.

Looking forward to the new AA

The MDW plan had FL up to around 120 flights a day on Airtran metal after 6 mos. Of course part of that growth was coming from 10 aircraft redeployed from ATL. Since MDW isn't going to happen, I would think DFW-TPA is almost certain and added frequency on DFW-MCO, LAS, BWI, FLL should happen as well.

DFW-MCO should be a lay up this winter and spring. Delta had some serious capacity on this route at one time.

Just curious,

Maybe this has been mentioned before but is the FL 717 equip for over water flights, if not then does the flt plan require the aircraft to hug the shore as DL Conx flts do when going to PNS and MSY from MCO?

Anyone?

Airtran has FAA exemption to fly up to 162 miles from shore. So yes they can fly over the gulf. Airtran uses this a lot on the PHL to Florida destinations and also out of BWI to Florida.

I have noticed in Feb they have increased a DFW-MCO, and DFW-ATL to bring MCO up to 2 round trips and ATL up to 7. I have heard rumors on DFW-DEN, DFW-SFO and DFW-TPA but nothing to confirm except MCO and ATL.

Now that the MDW thing isn't happening will FL also add more BWI flights?
What's that operation looking like these days? Anyone know?
