It looks like we (NW) are going to add another OKC-MSP flt in April. I would think it would be a CRJ operated by 9E . That would give us 3x MEM 2xDTW 3x MSP.

I looked up your PNR at work last month saw you got a great deal on a one way ticket. I hope we don't get as big as WN and AA cause that means more work

Yes, i got an amazing deal. I found it on travelocity, and it actually was a CO booking. At the time I couldn't find the same deal on NW's website, or CO's website for that matter, and right now I think the same itenerary is nearly $500. I'm not sure how I managed to get it, but i'm not complaining. It also looks like the flight is filling up according to NWA.com
I think that tomorrow i'm going to book an OKC-BNA routing on NW for my visit to Vanderbilt's grad school. The chemistry department there is paying for it, so i'm going to ask them to book on NW so I can continue to build up my freq flyer miles.
I'll let you know the exact routing when i find out, NWair

Wonder if it has anything to do with OKC's massive revamping of their terminals. If you are familiar with OKC's old terminals at Will Rogers, it's a great improvement over what we had before.

Northwestair - is there ever a lull in flights at OKC? it seems if anything is slightly late, the whole place goes down the tubes - especially when Co doesn't let us use gate 10. There always seems to be an arrival as we're pushing. I hope its an avro and not a CRJ... though I'm sort of sick of OKC (no offense), it would be nice to go to a new city for a change.

Well all of the flights are back together and NW will only pay for one gate. Sometimes we get to use CO gate 9 over on the Northside of the terminal. We were told that we can use gate 1 for emergencies only cause it will cost the station 200.00 per flt. A lot of the times we can't use another gate cause of our staffing issues and that we don't have a computer hook up at gate 10 or 9. We usally only have 6-7 employees on a shift to work the tkt ctr, ramp, bagroom and luggage service and gate. whens the next flight you are bringing in.

What is up with OKC? They are hot right now.
We are the biggest provider of high quality horse shows in the world, all or most defense contractors have big offices here with conjuction with Tinker AFB. A major renovation of our Bricktown area, it is quite a Tony place to be and very low cost of living compared to LA,Chicago or NYC. Dell Computer is building a huge center here. I could go on.

I think one thing that keeps the OKC airport relatively busy for a city of its size is the fact that fares are so reasonable. The strong WN presence coupled with mainline competition from all the majors (minus USair) makes it relatively cheap for OKC pax to fly, and they take advantage of it.
WN has mainline to DAL, HOU, MCI, STL, and PHX I'm really hoping they will pick up BNA, MDW, LAX, and/or LAS.
AA has mainline to DFW, rj's to ORD and STL
I'm hoping they will add a daily LAX rj much like XNA has.
Delta has mainline to ATL, rj's to CVG, SLC and DFW (for a bit longer)
UA has mainline to DEN, rj's to ORD
An IAD flight would be nice, but i don't see it happening.
NWA has mainline to MEM, ARJ's to DTW and MSP
CO has mainline to IAH and rj's to EWR. Way to go OKC for supporting a non-stop to the NYC area. All thats lacking is an express flight to CLE.
Frontier has RJ's to Denver
It would be nice to see America West or USair enter the OKC market at some point, but I don't see it happening, espescially for USair.
