Hey,
Hopefully in summer, il be able to begin training to be a pilot (i have my class one a week tuesday!!). but im still unsure. One outfit I am interested in in flyaaa (.com) of san diego. Both of these school have similar programs, only PEA are able to issue thr J1 visa, so they win hands down (flyAAA still pending approval). Just wondering if anyone from Europe has been tp PEA. If so how did you find it? And if you have already done so, how did you find converting to JAA licenses?

I would be very cautious about considering do the training in US. I have understood that converting FAA licenses to JAA licenses is extremely difficult, expensive and takes a lot of time as well. However, I don't have personal experience of the issue as I'm doing my training in Europe. Are you surely checked carefully all the European flight schools?

There is discussion in Tech/ops forum of this issue as well:

Hopefully someone more experienced can help you more than me!

Best Regards,
FinnWings
