Lufthansa's A330-200s

I know that Lufthansa had four or so A332s, used as stopgaps until the A333s arrived. What is their current status? Are they being retired? How many are still with LH? I saw this pic:

The caption says ex D-AIMA, which if I'm not mistaken was an LH aircraft. So to repeat my question: How many LH A332s are left? And when will they all be phased out?

I believe all of the LH A330-200's were second hand examples, formerly with Sabena and Swissair (Swiss).

They had five A330-200s that they got secondhand (ex-SN and SR) and recently got rid of 3 so there are only 2 left. My guess is that they will leave too when LH get more A330-300s.

How many A333s are there? And with two A332s left, they probably fly only specific routes now... don't they fly them to JFK and YYZ?

I think they have four A330-300s but they are getting another 6 of them.

There was another thread recently about LH Summer 2005 schedule and you can see there where the A330-200s will be flying.

According to Airfleets.net, LH has 9 active A330's. I'm not sure how current the info is, though.

Lufthansa had 5 A330-200, 3 ex Swiss and 2 ex Sabena.
The 3 Swiss aircraft are retired and will be delivered to Bluewings.

c/n 312 D-ARND ex D-AIMC

The Sabena aircraft are still with Lufthansa.

The A333X flies into JFK, they used to fly in the A332s.

LH currently opperates the A343s A333Xs and B744s into JFK.

I hope with there order of seven new A346s that one of those flights will be upgrated to a A346!!

LH should get rid of them soon untill they have received all their 333s . 332s are just temporary aircrafts in their fleet .

hate to dissapoint you, but IAD hasn't seen the LH A332s for a looong time now...I think they stopped flying them in about 2-3 years ago. One thing I do know is that LH416/417 will be operated by an A333 this summer! Flight LH418/419 will continue to be operated by the B744s.Hope this helps! Smile

LH 346 is configured C/Y, thus would be a downgrade to JFK. A Lufthansa A340-600 will not be seen at John F Kennedy. Most Likely 3x daily 333 operation, maybe 744 F16/C80/Y234 (new config) during the summer.

YYZ currently gets a 343....I believe last winter they used 2 333 until it was replaced by 346 then later on with 343.
