Would anyone be interested in a spotting meeting sometime in the next couple of weeks?? I am visiting from NY until 1/19/05 and would love to meet up with some local spotters. I don't know the good places to go and I haven't picked up the pattern on wind conditions with runway uses, so a local would be a big help.
Let me know,

The local sheriff's police can be very harrassing to photographers whether on foot or in cars. They'll be on you within a few minutes of taking out a camera, no matter how far away you are from the fence line. No "Aloha Spirit" at all where this activity is concerned!

Check the Civil Av and Photography Forum archives for info regarding spotting @ HNL. There are a few threads that discuss the topic.
As far as the sheriff's dept goes, I have encountered a deputy or two, the only advice is to be nice to them, and co-operate with them.
