Is ATA business class history? I just tried to price a business class seat from LGA-LAX on ATA, and no biz fares came up on ATA.com. I then looked at various dates and various routes (NYC-MDW, MDW-LAX, MDW-SFO, MDW-DFW) and can't seem to find a single business seat offered! Of course, the stupid ad for business class still pops up on the web site, but no FARES. This is another reason that I wanted to see Airtran win: they are very successful with their 2-class offerings, as contrasted with Southwest. Oh, well. If this is true, it's an example of the looming Southwest-ization of ATA. Maybe I just didn't check some box or something, so I am still hopeful. But I think I know how to use the ata.com website. Sigh.

Business Class is moving forward, but until all aircraft are converted you will only be able to buy the seat on the day of departure. That is, if a business Class aircraft is planned for your flight.
I do, however, believe that we've stopped converting planes until the future fleet is clarified ....

LN-MOW: You may be right. That was certainly the case at the beginning of the service. However, I believe that I noticed business class seats available for reservation on the web site previously. I didn't book one so I can't say for sure.
TIMBERWOLF: How good is your source? If accurate, very sad.

Initially all aircraft were to be converted by Thanksgiving, and Business Class was available for sale after that. However as the program got delayed, prebooking had to be stopped and it's now only available on the day of departure.
