Deadline is coming up for UA to decide if Air Wisconsin is going to keep flying or if some other airline is going to jump in...anyone have any ideas or have any info?

It's been too quiet...AWAC isn't going anywhere. In other news, they have until Monday to finish talks with the unions, or the contracts are up for "disposal." Going to be an interesting few weeks for UA...

I wish UAL would keep AWAC, IMO, AWAC is the better UAX carrier. I like the crews, planes, and they know what the word quick turn means. I wish I could say that about SKYWEST, and MESA but they are mediocre at best.

Lets hope UAL keeps AWAC around a while longer.

I wish United would just buy out AWAC and the others and operate them as "Part of United". I think this would clear up several isuues with the UAX system. BUT, since we all know that won't happen, AWAC is the best of the three and losing them would hurt us in the long run.

I love the rumble of a 727 takeoff in the morning!

If UA did buy say three of the express carriers, it would really help deal with a number of issues. AA, DL, NW all have some sort of controlling stake in their epxress carriers. UA would never have to worry about a repeat of the ACA deal!

UA purchased AWAC and raped them of their slots in the early 90s...

I didn't know that, why was it SO unsuccessful. How can you rape someone of their slots it you own them? Wouldn't it all be one team?

You are right, UA did buy AWAC back in the 90's, when ORD was slot controlled, UA did enjoy taking AWAC's slots...and now they just delay us for 4 fours so they can land!

That was not new to anyone. UA announced MYR and ZW flying that route back in OCT.
