I dare say it would be better than flying long-haul on a British charter airline, since German charter carriers give their passengers room to breath!

Hi Sonyericsson!

Flew LTU longhaul to Punta Cana, Domenican Republik in 2003. Aircraft was one of their A332. Have to say that the flight was really nice, although seat pitch is not the best (it was cramped and i'm only about 1,74m).
In flight entertainment was good standard for a charter flight, with overhead lcd-monitors and individual audio broadcast.
Food was also standard (chicken or pasta...), but service was really nice and efficient (compared to Condor last year to Cancun, service at this flight was almost non existant...) including a good choice of beverages, free journals and newspapers, hot towels, a blanket, amenities kit etc.
As the aircrafts are rather new the interior was in pretty good shape, toilets were rather spacious (again compared to Condors aging 767s).
Seating on the A330 is 2-4-2.
Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to fly LTU again.

Hope that helps!
Fabian

You were cramped on a LTU A330 2-4-2? You would be if you had taken a British charter airline who cram in 9 abreast seating in their A330s 3-3-3, truly cramped.

@ Orion737

I know what you mean, I once flew on one of Hapag Lloyds' A310s, seating 3-3-3. It only was a 3h flight, but it was horrible. Being seated for 10+ hours this way? I don't even want to think about this...  Big grin
