Upgrading On UA's Website, Is It Possible?

Well, basically what my title says. If i purchase a ticket on UA can i also do a 15k mile upgrade using miles through the website, or do i have to call them to do that? Thanks!

It will depend on fare paid also, you will most likely be put in rotation and notified within 48,or 72 hours before flight time or waitlisted. UAL has one of the easiest websites to navigate and buy tickets, and upgrade in the business. I do about 60-70k miles a year and can honestly say they have never screwed up one yet!! Good luck
