HI all,
For anyone who spots in WNY, Rochester is getting an AA757 on Thursday Jan 13th arriving ROC around 8:30am and departing ROC around 8:30PM. The charter is bringing people in from IAD for a local supermarket training seminar of some sort. So anyone spotting it would be a great thing to see. I will try to get some shots. AA has not seen anything like this in here since the DC10's.

Hope you get some good shots, AERoc! Wegmans is probably chartering the plane. They're opening a new store in Northern Virginia (Fairfax) soon in addition to the very successful one they have near Dulles now. Will Mary Ellen Burris be aboard?
Any interesting cargo charters this Christmastime? Back in the late '90s we used to have all sorts of stretch DC-8's, and even Kalitta L-1011's. Also, keep your eyes open...one of these days Fedex might fly an MD-10 in on substitution.

I used to live there. That's as fun too watch as when the USAFR used to have a C-5 do touch and go's in the early 1990's there. That was a blast to watch. A 757 is the biggest aircraft they have seen in a while.

AERoc,on a side note - during the 9-11 groundings,A^A had a 75 and a 738 here .
Too bad I gotta work !
Also, how pathetic are we that we get excited about a 757 here (persent company included)

I'll pop down to the airport. I still have the pics of the chartered Delta 763 that brought the Cleveland Browns here last summer.
I'll bet they park the plane over by the USAirports hangar, which is a shame. I'd really like to see it at the gate, relative to the terminal building and the rest of ROC's anemic traffic.

United Fan and LHMark,
I worked for AE during 9/11 in Roc and AA in fact had a 737 and two S80's here in ROC park at gates B5, B7a and b. The charter will be parked at gate B7 during the unboarding and boarding process and at taxiway C1 the remote area by the cargo facilities the rest of the time. There is a possibility that we could use gate A2 if Airtran is not using it. So either A2 or B7 Im really not sure what the morning crew will do. Im still looking forward to seeing it here at the ROC. good luck spotting if anyone does its should be a nice day if the rain can hold off.......

It was impossible to get a shot,it was parked at the B gates. Next to a FL 717. Good to see the big A^A tail, though.
