Hi folks,

My cousin's family are scrambling to find new airlines by which to travel between southeastern Pennsylvania and central Florida (roughly PHL-TPA.) With Southeast Airlines gone and USAirways on shaky ground, they have asked me about an airline they say is called "Metro Air."

I have not been able to find any information on such an airline. If anyone knows about it, please post information and/or links.

Possible airports for their use would be:
In Pennsylvania, RDG, ABE, PHL, LNS, MDT
In Florida, TPA, PIE, SRQ

Thanks,
redngold

PS : They could be referring to the old USAirways MetroJet, but I can't be sure.

Never heard of it and I live in Fl. Wonder if this is some sort of startup that has not advertised.

The only Metro I heard of was the ancestor to the now defunct Tower Air, flying 747's to various places. But they went bust in 1984 or thereabouts.

Maybe they were thinking of the Metro airline run by US, the one with the red planes. They too, though, are out of business.

MetroJet was the one with red planes and normal USAirways tails.

I already asked them if they aren't confused about MetroJet... Still waiting for an answer.
