Here is the link to photos of N24728 today

Ever dream of owning your own B-727, or converting it to a house?

$12,000 is cheap for a hull.

Only two issues:

1. How much will it cost to move it?

2. How to convince the wife?

#2 will be the most difficult one...

Let's buy it and use it as a winter home for us Canadians. A time share... no?

We could give it to NWA and improve their average fleet age  Smile Haha, just kidding. A little NWA DC-9 humor....

I wonder how many active A.Net members there are. We could all pitch in and buy it - how cool would it be to say to your friends, "yeah, I own a Boeing 727"....  Smile

wow, there sure are a lot of expert economists on this forum....

Only 12 more hours until her fate is known. Shredded for beer cans, or a life extension as ?

N24728

Although she's in pretty rough shape, will be sad to see another great 727 bite the dust.  Sad

Why go small???

There must be some "old" A300B2/4 sitting in the desert somewhere...  Smile

Or B707.....???

Anyway...still a shame to see a beautyful aircraft "die".....

Hi Levent!!!

I know...we were thinking about buying one of them and fly her to STR to replace our Tu 154B-2 that we usse for seminars and parties...

Unfortunatly "my" airport needs to extend the existing apron and move some buildings...so no money left..... Sad ....too bad!!!

A few years ago we bought about a 30-40' fuselage section of an ex-NW 727 that we now use for fire training. It also came from this outfit at AEX. It sits on the southwest corner of the airport at MSY.

A.net air??? Cool idea, but it'd never work. You folks think we have A vs. B battles now, wait until we're actually trying to purchase aircraft!  Smile
