I'm glad no SGT or above saw that becuase whoever gave their weapon to her, even if just to hold, would be in trouble. Then again, I see it's an Army or National Guard flight...if it were the Marines, that would be a big no, no!

She just hits any pax with the butt (the one on the rifle, that is).

The white thing sticking out of the side of the rifle, is the purpose to prevent any ammo from being in the chamber during transport?
I was in the danish military 20 years ago (an artillery unit) and I had a Garand rifle!!! A classic WWII rifle. We didn't have white things in our rifles.

Mind you this gives the opportunity for me to thank all the "BA" FAs on my regular UK domestic flights. Last week one FA insisted on supplying me with several small beers during a flight. Great.

However for the record I did not get drunk!!!
