Hello all,

today I booked a flight on UAL 901 FRA - SFO. This is going to be a 744  Smile/happy/getting dizzy and I was just wondering if anybody knows if UAL still does the ATC channel. I remember listening to it on one of their 737's a long time ago and thought it was the coolest thing ever. It would be great to listen to it on a long haul and especially approach to SFO! Thanks!

Yeh they do still hvae~ its on channel 9... but remember (As i already have posted on the other forum), this channel is not ALWAYS on....

it can be occasionally just a blank channel with nothing on or it could be some stupid Jazz Music. to ensure it will be on, try to get a trip to the cockpit, chat up the captain and b4 u leave.. ask him to turn on channel 9 if thats possible.. (he should turn a dial and flick up a switch on the radio area)

hope it helps

I've also asked a flight attendant to call the flight deck with a request to activate channel 9 ATC.
