Well after a nearly ten day delay getting out of NY I pulled into Laughlin 5pm yesterday. I headed over to IFP to check out the progress on the new terminal. It seems like it is coming along slow, I tried to find someone to talk to and find out some info but the place was empty. Just that Ryan MD82 was there. I snapped this pic.

Anyone know the schedule? When the new terminal is going to open? Just by looking at it I can tell it won't be soon. Also there is going to have to be some better parking? The parking lot at IFP is terrible. They definately need more paved space.

Tom! Email me, I will be there tomorrow snapping pics of SCY's arrivals.

Whoa! The Ryanair 80 is leaving, I can hear it now..BTW Reg is N932AS, I spottet her about 4pm today at IFP. Didn't see any pax get on.

Was just on SCY's website, no flights today? That's weird. I thought they have flights on Fri. I will call them later. I need some birds flying into here! There was also this awesome private jet parked at the hangar near Highway 95. Didn't get a good look I was driving by. Anyone know who that was?

When did you get to IFP? Are you coming back in the spring? We still haven't gone to ISP!!!! IFP really reminds me of ISP, except a smaller version. What airline did you take to go out there?

Hey Joe!

I drove out here. I do it every winter. You would love it here. IFP rocks! Though the terminal is coming along slow I think. I haven't been able to find any one to talk to there. I didn't think G4 would be in today and then at 11:25 MST one of their 80's in the new livery spooled up and took off. I didn't have my camera ready and couldn't get a pic. I will be there next few days. We have to go to ISP when I get back in March.

Here you go Joe!

This is a pic from a different angle showing the existing terminal, to the right of Ryan's MD80 with the luggage carts in front of it and the new terminal under construction in the foreground in front of the plane. I will get some interior shots soon!!

The new terminal building looks more like a prison than a passenger terminal IMO.

NIK,
IFP is about a two hours North on 95 from HII isn't it? If thats the case, maybe I'll take a ride up there this spring.

Yea that terminal building is bad. I wish I was in charge of this, I would build the sickest terminal! The new one in fact doesn't look as good as I thought. IFP is a booming town and to get some more carriers to fly in here you got to build it so they come!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

COEWRNJ,

Two hours north from where? Hll? That can't mean Havasu cause IFP is only 40 mins from there. Come up here before March 7th, I leave to head back East then.

Hey Nik,
Yeah I meant Havasu. Sorry not too familiar with the area. I'm in school down in Tucson, but my family has a place up in Havasu that I go up to on occasion. I will definitely try to head up there before then.

Hey Dave,

Yes, Havasu is only about 45 miles from IFP, you can make it up here in 45 minutes easy. Let me know via email when you can make it up here so I know. We can make it a day when SCY has some action and we can spot and take some pics.

Wow, I didn't realize IFP needed a new terminal that badly. That looks like a shed or a storage warehouse. Yuk! I can't wait to see the final outcome of this new terminal. How much is it to put up the new terminal?

And looking at those pictures, I'm reminded once again why I haven't been back to my birthplace (Kingman) in over 20 years. As much as I love the desert (Tucson especially), there is something so totally desolate about that corner of Arizona. But on the flip side, it is good to see Bullhead and Laughlin doing well.

Joe,

That terminal is bad but inside it is cool. Will have a pic for you soon. Drove there at dusk tonight at caught the Ryan MD80 just as it spooled up. Didn't have my camera  Angry

Also G4 had a bird there, newer livery. Atcrick is going to kill me! Keep sending them down there though! I will get some good shots.

Duane,

Come back! I love it here! I love the desolation but then you just drive a little ways and you have sin city! Plus a whole host of other places. I was born in NY and I just love this place!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
