Very interesting....

Lufthansa to reveal planned partnership with US' NetJets - report

FRANKFURT (AFX) - Deutsche Lufthansa AG (Xetra: 823212.DE - news) is
set to reveal within the next few
weeks plans to form a partnership with US private jet company NetJets,
Handelsblatt newspaper said in a report to be published tomorrow,
without citing its sources.
A Lufthansa spokesman confirmed talks have been going on for some time
with
several business airplane companies, the newspaper said.
'We are looking at the details of the concept. But there has been no
decision yet,' the spokesman said.
Mark Booth, head of NetJets' European operations, said a cooperation
with
Lufthansa would be 'very sensible'.
NetJets -- which is owned by US tycoon Warren Buffet -- hopes to boost
its
customer base in Europe to 1,000 from 600 by the end of 2005.

Since the service level of German and European feeder flights have decreased a lot over the years, LH was looking for something adequate to transport it's first class passengers to it's hubs in FRA and MUC.

For a first stage it is planned to use NetJets for flying first class passengers from other German airports to MUC. FRA lacks slots for such an service so far, although most of their long hauls with first class depart in FRA.
Maybe at a later stage NetJets will also come in from other European cities.
