What I forgot to ask in my post: if MEA does do Hajj flights, how does that fit in with their fleet use for scheduled flights? I know the winter schedule is somewhat "lighter", but still, their fleet isn't that big...

Yes they have many charter flights to JED over the next few days (ME2268/2282/2266/2284/2272/2294/2270/2274/2286/2288/2318/2300/2302/2280/2290/2292) with a mixture of A332s and A321s. Looking at the schedule there seem to be upto 5 extra charter flights in addition to their scheduled ME368 service.
SV seem to have 4 extra weekly A300 flights to BEY too (SV5858/5846/5842/5844). Would be nice if our Lebanese members are able to catch a few pics of SV's A300s.

MEA Hajj Flights operated this year to Medina and Jeddah.
Saudia is using mainly lease Turkish charter airline's A300. I've seen one over Beirut in all white with the tail in the old Saudia Green color scheme.
I guess most of MEA's flights are operated at night when they are normaly night stopping in BEY so no disturbance to Network.
