On Wednesday, I am flying to London with NW. The last time I did this flight, was with DL. When the DL flight arrived at LGW, we were parked on a stand at the North Terminal. I know NW uses the South Terminal, but do they also use stands? When I did the DL flight, we spent a few minutes waiting outside the plane for the coach to take us to the terminal. If I were to whip out a camera while waiting for the coach and take a few pictures (if indeed it is the same) would there be a problem?

Gatwick can be very busy in the mornings, so you may be lucky and not get a stand, though I would think it fairly unlikely .. probably more likely to shove a little charter airline off to a remote stand.

As for the camera, you will likely be OK.

Most of the time NW park at the satilleite gates, which means you have to get a short Monorail to the terminal, which may give you a little bit of time to take a few snaps.

Yea Northwest uses the Stand most of the time. In the Mourning you will se some US AA CO NW planes and the monorail ride has some okay photo opps buts its a quick ride.
