A beautiful tail design. Not to hijack the thread, but how many A320's does jetBlue still have on order? How the hell are they going to come up with names including blue for I believe 50+ more aircraft?! Good luck to them. I can't wait to see the new terminal at JFK when it's built.

Cool!
I can't wait to fly on them someday. I think I still prefer the dots, but I'm sure this comes close behind. Do think this is what was meant by the Airbus 'the sky gets a new blue' (see the wallpapers on the airbus website), or is it to do with the A380 on Tuesday?

The new Airbus 'The Sky Gets A New Blue' is a rebranding of Airbus' corporate colors... theres a picture of the A380 where the wind blew off the plactic off the new painted tail...
Edited to include link to new A380 tail color (found in another thread)....

JetMARC ... Just looked at your profile, and then your link .. I know you! lol ..
as for the tail design, I think its great! I HATE the bubbles one (its not a true Pucci design) and I HATE the Harlequin (makes me dizzy!) .. but this one -- I think they call it Art Deco -- looks nice!

At first looking at the tail design I thought "Mondrian", after further review, it's bit more Frank Lloyd Wright than Piet Mondrian. This tail design is definitely my new favorite.

I see this one doesn't have a motto yet under the cockpit. I get a bigger kick out of those "blue" mottos then the tail paint scheme.

Does anyone know when the knew design will enter the fleet? I fly JetBlue next month out of JFK, and it would be nice to have a ride on one of the birds with the new tail.

the name designated for N605JB is "Blue Yorker"
Yep, definitely running out of names . . .
The primary function of the design engineer is to make things difficult for the manufacturer and impossible for the AME.

Why would you say that? I think it's a very clever name...especially since JetBlue is based in New York City...
Lately the new names have been great...I especially like "Tale of Blue Cities" and "You, Me, And a Plane Called Blue." Both are from late-04.

Interesting about this white "Euro" c/s for Jetblue... I've read literally hundreds of posts complaining about how boring so and so's scheme is because of the white tube but along comes B6 and suddenly it's OK. Is it just because of the different tails or the love affair we have with the carrier?

Wow, I really like the new tail. It's right up there with the bubbles and window panes, IMO.
As big of a jetBlue fan as I am, it's odd to think I've never stepped foot in one of their planes. Home is Dallas, and I'm currently in school in the midwest, and there isn't a jetBlue plane in sight! Stinky.
Maybe when I'm done with flight training I'll get on flying the new E190s.

I like the tail it is like a stained glass look. It goes well with the plane and it looks amazing. Can't wait to fly on the new ones.
As for the names I think ever once and a while there are good ones like If the Blue Fits... or Blue Kid in Town. I also like the upcoming Blue Idlewild. They are starting to do NYC things. I think they should name a plane for each city they serve and something unique about that city. That would be a good idea wise for the Spirit of B6!
