For those who live around MSP and would like to take some pics, UAL now operates a B757 for two of the flights. The first arrives at 2:24pm and the other at 6:30pm.

It was a nice surprise to ride on a 757 into MSP!

What is UA using them on? I thought they were already using 757s on the MSP-DEN route.

Nice, but it won't be for long, from MSPUpdate:

"Effective April 2nd, 2004; United Airlines will discontinue Boeing 757-200 service to/from Chicago-O'Hare (ORD). Flights to/from ORD will be operated by Airbus A320s and Boeing 737s."

"Effective April 2nd, 2004; United Airlines will discontinue Boeing 757-200 service to/from Denver (DEN). Flights to/from DEN will be operated by Boeing 737-500s and Bombardier CRJs operating as United Express."

Seems UAL 752's get in here only through equip upgrades at the time..........it has always been 737's and an occasional Airbus.

I check Flytecomm here at MSP daily and haven't seen a 752 for some time.

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

Yeah the 757s are back on the CLE-ORD route as well. They come and go throughout the year.

Those aren't weird routes for UAL 757s at all...OMA has had 757 service for years and years, with DC-10s and DC-8s prior to that. COS had 757 service off and on for several years also, especially during the WestPac days. DSM, being a smaller market seems like an unlikely route, but has also been a recipient of 757s for at least the past 7 or 8 years.

Albuquerque, Greensboro, Manchester, and Providence are also small-medium sized markets that have/had UAL 757 service.
