Hey,
Bournemouth Airport is bracing itself for 1 Million Passengers in 2005, Thanks to Thomsonfly and Jet 2.
Bournemouth is getting about an extra 86 flights with Thomsonfly.
Thomsonfly flights out of Bournemouth;
Daily to Malaga and Palma
6 Flights a week to Amsterdam, Valencia and Paris
5 Flights a week to Faro and Pisa
Flights to all Thomsonfly destinations will start on 22nd apart from Palma which will start on 23rd March.
Bournemouth Airport is adding a second Baggage Belt in the Arrivals area.
Jet 2 will add Belfast Daily adding another 14 flights a week from them.
I do have 1 question on this topic,
I heard that Thomsonfly will be basing 2 Aircraft at Bournemouth, How will they handle all these flights? Will some come from other airports or something?
Anyway, Bournemouth Will be a much busier airport after March 23rd.

They only had one before? I think Livingstone International , Zambia has more than two baggage belts.

I would certainly add FR to the list of airlines which have contributed to this, as it currently has a daily flight to DUB, PIK and GRO. When the DUB route is operated by the 738, there will be a over 206,000 seats available every year - almost a quarter of this 1 million.

I hope that the new terminal gets built for them coz its needed. I mean look at the size. Theres not many check in desks and if you had European on long haul, palmair with 2 flights, FR with 1 flight, Jet 2 with 1 flight and Thompsonfly with 2 flights all within 1 hour thats alot of people!! Mind you I would have thought they would space them out.

Just to say although Ryanair may have contributed to this they also delayed it by cancelling the planned buzz routes from the airport when they bought them.
