Is there a public DB where you can get passenger stats? IND has always been a point to point airport but with two airlines now offering connecting service in IND I wanted to monitor how the numbers change.

The final numbers are out. They just haven't been posted on the website. Not sure if they are just going to post the grand totals or if they are going to include connecting passengers like you just listed.

What do you think accounts for the 20% drop in International Passenger traffic?

Just got the update.. here is some new info on the RDU Terminal C if anyone is interested...

http://www.rdu.com/Landing/Winter05/jan.html

When completed in mid-2009, Terminal C (Terminal 2) will become RDU’s primary terminal.

The new Terminal C will also accommodate a changing mix of aircraft. Many airlines use regional aircraft to serve RDU and other destinations. Gates in the new Terminal C will accommodate small, medium and large aircraft. Three gates will be designed for wide-bodied aircraft to serve international destinations.

With the completion of Terminal C, a number of these airlines will relocate to the new facility. With renovations to Terminal C under way, the Authority will turn its attention to Terminal A to develop a new vision and plan for how it will serve the region and traveling public in the future.

Here are some first pictures of what the 40 gate terminal will look like inside and out..

Perhaps RDU will be A380 capable by 2008?!?!?!?!?!?

Largest scheduled aircraft is the AA 772 Atlantic configuration. Occasional visits by 747Freighters.. Rare diversion include LH 340..

if they get 747 freighters I'd assume the runway and taxiways are strong enough to support the weight of the A380. I'd guess the tarmac is as well.
